It gives me immense joy to help those in need and I feel content in making someone’s life a little easy.

Time defeats us.

Love conquers us.

Friendship enriches us.

I’ve always liked sunrises more than sunsets.

As the sun sets, it makes the heart dip in nostalgic waters.

The moon makes me long for the sun, anxiously waiting for it to rise again.

A new day brings new hope like powdered gold showered everywhere.

3 Billboards out of Ebbing, Missouri — Illustration by Fabrizio Garda

Every once in a while, you fall in love with a movie. It is magnanimous, and you fall short of words to explain how it makes you feel.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri has been one such movie for me. It takes me into the world of Mildred Hayes, a mother who is grieving over the rape and murder of her teenage daughter. मौसम की लुकाछिपी देखो
हम कंबल ओढ़ के सर्दी का इंतजार ही करते रह गए।

ख़्वाहिशों की साज़िश देखो
हम मोहब्बत मे खुदको भुलाते ही रह गए।

Translation:

Look at the hide and seek this season plays
I kept waiting for winters wearing a blanket.

Look at the conspiracy this hope creates
I kept forgetting myself in love.

Somethings become a part of your life, just like the air you breathe;
unnoticed, taken for granted, weary.
You give it a name, a feeling.
Keep it close to your heart.
Unknowingly.
Materialistic.
Selfish.
Can’t let go.
Attach imaginations.
Blurry.
Thin lines.
Show off.
Wash.
Amend.
Keep.
Repeat.

opening-up their arms,
embracing warm sun rays
kissing their soft dewy skin.

The resistance.
Departed souls.
Partly there.
Completely moved.

The sun asks the earth,
“Why do you always revolve around me?”

The earth swirls and replies,
“To give reason to your light.”
