One day, while going down the escalator, I came across an installation and took it’s picture because it made me happy. It felt pretty cool walking under it.
Suddenly, I thought of something I wanted to try: A simple activity that would take not more than a minute.
I converted the photo to black and white and sent it to a few friends. I asked them to use any basic photo tool they have and colour the installation the way they’d imagine it to be.
Every once in a while, you fall in love with a movie. It is magnanimous, and you fall short of words to explain how it makes you feel.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri has been one such movie for me. It takes me into the world of Mildred Hayes, a mother who is grieving over the rape and murder of her teenage daughter. Angered by the lack of progress in finding the convict, Mildred rents three billboards and posts three messages on them.
I won’t get into the details of the movie and the characters, but I wanted to highlight…
मौसम की लुकाछिपी देखो
हम कंबल ओढ़ के सर्दी का इंतजार ही करते रह गए।
ख़्वाहिशों की साज़िश देखो
हम मोहब्बत मे खुदको भुलाते ही रह गए।
Look at the hide and seek this season plays
I kept waiting for winters wearing a blanket.
Look at the conspiracy this hope creates
I kept forgetting myself in love.
Somethings become a part of your life, just like the air you breathe;
unnoticed, taken for granted, weary.
You give it a name, a feeling.
Keep it close to your heart.
Can’t let go.
